Justin Badgerow, faculty member at Elizabethtown College, will present a seminar, “Teaching Jazz and Improvisation”.  He will discuss how to get young students to improvise along with a teacher accompaniment and how to teach blues.  He will encourage teacher interaction, as we play the role of the student in this engaging seminar.

The topic of the morning is “Technology in the Studio”, and we will focus on how to keep students engaged in their music studies so they remain life-long musicians.  Laura Zaruta will show us how to incorporate various technologies, such as midi, bluetooth, tablets/apps, while adhering to traditional teaching approaches.  She will reference popular teaching methods, such as Piano Adventures.
